Hardened internal PKI in one install: step-ca (your own certificate authority) + cert-manager (certificate lifecycle) + step-issuer (cert-manager signs through step-ca) + trust-manager (the CA root distributed to every namespace). A post-install Job wires a StepClusterIssuer and a trust Bundle, so a Certificate with issuerRef <release>-step-ca just works and every namespace gets the root in ConfigMap <release>-root-ca. Every image is QuenchWorks-hardened, nonroot, 0-CVE, pinned by digest and cosign-signed.
